Fernando Lagreca

Uruguayan-born and Barcelona-based since the early 2000s, Fernando Lagreca has spent the better part of the last two decades developing a singular presence within Europe’s electronic underground. A dedicated hardware practitioner, his work sits at the intersection of hypnotic and groovy techno, analog experimentation and live performance—eschewing laptops in favor of a tactile, machine-driven approach that foregrounds spontaneity and sonic imperfection.

As a producer, Lagreca has built a substantial catalogue of EPs, singles and full-length releases that move fluidly across techno’s deeper and more hypnotic territories. His productions have repeatedly entered the Beatport Top 100, including a #1 position in the Raw / Hypnotic Techno chart with the two-tracker Kosmonaut EP on M4rlow Records. But it is perhaps in the live environment where his work finds its most immediate form: improvised hardware sets that blur the line between studio composition and club functionality.

That approach has taken him across an international circuit of clubs and festivals, with appearances at Sónar, Amsterdam Dance Event and BIME, alongside club performances at Tanzhaus West, Ritter Butzke, Birgit & Bier, Fundbureau, Club NL and Razzmatazz, among others. His hardware-only sessions at HÖR have also drawn attention for their stripped-back, machine-led energy.

Beyond the studio and the stage, Lagreca operates across several layers of the electronic music ecosystem. He runs the agency Miracle MGMT and the imprint and publishing Beautiful Accident, while also working as an educator, delivering courses and masterclasses on music production and the contemporary music industry. The result is a career that moves fluidly between artist, curator and mentor—anchored by a long-standing commitment to the craft of electronic music.
